Day 1: Kigali – Akagera National Park – Boat Ride
Your 3-day safari to Akagera National Park will start with a pick-up from the airport in Kigali upon your arrival or from your hotel in Kigali.
Then, you will take a short Kigali city tour. Stop for a lunch break and then drive to Akagera National Park, check into your lodge, and then drive to Lake Ihema in the South part of the park for a rewarding afternoon boat ride, encountering different water bird species, hippos, crocodiles, and other wildlife at the lake’s shores.
Day 2: Full Day Game Drive
Full-day game viewing adventure around Akagera National Park. After your morning breakfast, you will pack hot food and head out to explore the beautiful park.
Drive to different areas of the park from the South region to the North, expecting to set your eyes on the Big 5; lions, buffalos, elephants, leopards, and rhinos among other animals like oribis, zebras, waterbuck, giraffes, hyenas, among others.
You will have your picnic lunch at a safe designated area in the park and continue exploring the park.
