Best Sun-downer Spots in Akagera National Park – The best way to end your day in Akagera National Park is by going fishing or taking a boat safari on Lake Ihema.

- Avoid loud noises. Some species are very sensitive to noise. Loud sounds can scare them away, and it might take days before they reappear. This is especially true for birds, which is why noise is strictly prohibited.
- Do not roam without a tour guide. Venturing into the park alone is risky. Without knowledge of the jungle, you could easily get lost or encounter dangerous carnivorous animals. Since you are unarmed, it is safer to hire a tour guide and only go to places they recommend. Never move around without your guide.
